"The Return"

SYNOPSIS: On patrol during the Korean War a young corporal, Fred Cossage, gets separated from the
rest of his unit who, after a fruitless search, give him up as dead. But Cossage is still alive and, despite
being blinded and severely wounded, is able by psychic help to save himself.

COMMENTARY: This episode may be understood as confirmation of another One Step Beyond theme:
that those who are sightless may in fact have greater insight/knowledge/wisdom than those with perfect
vision. In this case, a soldier is able to find his way home through psychic means . . .
