SYNOPSIS: A prominent painter, Paul Rollins, upsets his rich client when he paints a portrait not of her,
but of some mysterious beauty named Claire. This also upsets the woman that Rollins is to be married to,
since she fears that he is having an affair. Rollins soon finds that he can paint nobody else but this unknown
Claire -- as if her face is possessing his art and mind.

COMMENTARY: Is the human soul but a single flame, passed from torch to torch, life to life, as advocates
of reincarnation ask us to believe (?) Driven by visions of a woman he has never met, a painter instinctively
drives to an town where an old woman has been mourning for 40 years over the death of her groom-to-be . . .
