"The Tiger"

SYNOPSIS: A cruel governess becomes the caretaker of sweet young Pamela Brown and promptly uses
harsh methods to compel the child's proper behavior. As punishment, she locks the girl in a dark room in
the basement, where lonely Pamela tries to make her wishes come true by bringing a stuffed tiger to life.
When the governess' hostility continues, Pamela retaliates by unleashing the tiger on her abuser.

COMMENTARY: The joy of this particular story is in watching a nasty, arrogant governess get her
comeuppance by a little girl's fantasy that her toy pet tiger has come to life. Before long, fantasy is reality
and the furniture is being ripped apart by the claws of some invisible creature. Soon the governess realizes . . .
