SYNOPSIS: In 1943 an arrogant Nazi general and his treacherous French girlfriend plan an extravagant
party in a occupied French chateau -- which happens to be the home of some very old ghosts. The general
plots to send 50 French workers to a forced labor camp, but the spirits of the dead have other plans.
COMMENTARY: Nazis make the best villains. Put an actor in an S.S. uniform and the audience assumes
his evil nature almost as a given. The villainous Nazi deserving of a bad fate is an easy characterization in
1950s TV drama. This episode is a "just desserts" story in which two such characters get their comeuppance . . .
