"The Room Upstairs"

SYNOPSIS: Pregnant Esther Hollis is terrified that she and her unborn child will suffer from the insanity
that plagued her mother and great aunt. Her fears seem confirmed when she hers the plaintive cries of a sick
child from the unused sewing room upstairs. Soon she and her husband learn that their house is haunted
by a past crime.

COMMENTARY: Esther Hollis fears that she and her baby are somehow tainted by a genetic predisposition
to madness. In this environment of fear and worry, she experiences the vision of a sick child in her sewing
room, crying out for help. Fortunately, her husband shares her vision . . .
