"The Stranger"

SYNOPSIS: While scouring through debris after a devastating earthquake, two workers rescue a family from
the rubble and uncover the body of a stranger who saved their lives during the crisis. Fingerprints of the man
man match those of a convict who, riddled with a guilty conscience, died twenty years earlier and who has
since been reported in various cities.

COMMENTARY: This story about a convict, Jerome Cole, is a touching one, suggesting that even the most
"guilty" of souls can seek redemption. A prisoner on death row, Cole was once scheduled to donate his eyes
to a blind girl, but because he received clemency the donation was never made. The blind girl wrote to him . . .
