"The Promise"

SYNOPSIS: In London after World War II, and ex-German soldier with a knowledge of munitions has
promised his pregnant wife, Lois, that he will never handle bombs again. However, a friend and British
officer asks Carl for help one more time when a 500 pound undetonated bomb is discovered at a London
construction site.

COMMENTARY: William Shatner is at his best in this tense segment about one German's search for
redemption after the war and the lengths to which his quest drives him. It is a remarkably tense and
involving installment, highlighted by an exceptional performance . . .
