"Night of the Kill"

SYNOPSIS: Little Davey Morris has been lost in the woods for four days while 150 neighbors search
desperately for him. When the boy is found safe and sound on a high, rocky outcropping, he claims
that he was protected by a giant and hairy mysterious friend. This friend, a Bigfoot-type creature, soon
returns to check on his ward, but is met with only hostility by Davey's father and the locals.

COMMENTARY: This episode adopts a stance of tolerance and compassion in dealing with a "monster"
that some people believe is dangerous just because it is different. "Too often it is our way to fear what
we don't understand," Newland comments near the close of the episode . . .
