** Spoiler Alert **

SYNOPSIS: In the 1600s the eldest son of the wealthy Earl of Donamoor is dying from the Black Plague
while the woman who loves him is accused of witchcraft in the matter. As the innocent woman is dragged
to her public execution (by fire), she issues a curse damning the eldest son of every generation to die before
his father. Eight generations later the curse is still working its dark magic.

COMMENTARY: Curse or coincidence (?) That is the choice one has to make in analyzing this episode,
one with a sense of icy precision and irony. Did the eldest son in eight generations die young by mere
chance or by the design of a witch who died hundreds of years ago when burned at the stake (?) . . .
