"The Peter Hurkos Story" (Part 1)
April 19 1960.

** Spoiler Alert **

SYNOPSIS: While being pursued by German soldiers in Amsterdam, Dutch freedom fighter Peter Hurkos
falls from the top of a high building and is hospitalized for his injuries. When he awakens after a coma of
six days, he finds that he is now a "touch" psychic with the ability to see the life details and future of all
those with whom he comes in contact. After recovery, he contemplates a future in show business.

COMMENTARY: This episode is the first of a two-part biography of a very controversial figure in psychic
studies. Clearly, the real-life story has been adapted to make it a bit more "dramatic". But John Newland
consulted Hurkos and recalls the Dutch psychic was a "curious man with the power to do curious things" . . .
