"I Saw You Tomorrow"
April 5 1960.

** Spoiler Alert **

SYNOPSIS: An American visitor at a British home overhears a violent domestic argument across the hall
from his room. When he breaks in to intervene, he witnesses a murder. The only problem is that the
murdered woman, Claire, and her angry husband, Carter, have not yet arrived at the house. When they
do arrive, the perplexed Donald Stewart realizes he has been granted a preview of the future . . .

COMMENTARY: Time seems to skip its track with jarring frequency in One Step Beyond. Stewart is
placed in the familiar role of Cassandra as he experiences a vision of murder yet to come but is not
believed by other people. Is he simply facing "inevitability", as a dinner conversation suggests (?)
