SEASON 2 EPISODE 22. (44 )

"The Lovers "
February 16 1960.

** Spoiler Alert **

SYNOPSIS: In Vienna during a "golden yesterday" of the early 1900s, a poltergeist strikes as a retired postman,
Otto, courts the lovely young Elsa. Every time poor old Otto plants a kiss on Elsa, strange disturbances ensue:
books fly, phonographs play of their own volition, and statues spontaneously shatter. Convinced he is to blame
for these bizarre occurrences, Otto goes to see a psychologist.

COMMENTARY: This episode is a funny little tale about a mismatched, May-December romance that must face
the disapproval not only of society, but also of some enigmatic psychic force (!) The focus is on light-hearted
romance and comedy, not terror. Young Elsa and Otto seem to have everything going against them . . .
