SYNOPSIS: In Nevada, a recovering alcoholic named Carl Archer tries to patch things up with his wife,
Helen, and his little boy, Stevie. When Stevie and Helen are suddenly trapped in a dangerous cave-in
at a nearby silver mine, an apparition of Helen -- who was actually killed in the mine -- warns the alcoholic
of the terrible danger his wounded son now faces.

COMMENTARY: Another middle-class, American marriage is on the verge of imminent collapse in Don
M. Mankiewicz's "Epilogue", a story that relies not on a "silly" female as the unheeded psychic Cassandra
of the week, but a character almost as easy to dismiss: a recovering alcoholic . . .
